Theme 2: Exposure at Agricultural-Residential Interfaces

The unique topography and culture of Israel result in close proximity between agricultural and populated areas. This may give rise to exposure to agricultural hazards for a large population, and provides an opportunity to study unique pollutant mixtures due to the overlap between urban and agricultural areas.

Current research under this theme looks at sources, transport, and chemical transformations of airborne pesticides after application, and possible health effects in adults and children following exposure to these compounds.
